Hazardous Zone Work | Morwell

Mobile Electrics was previously commissioned to undertake hazardous zone work on a sugar silo at a food manufacturer in the Morwell Area.

The site and surrounding area were classified as a zone 21 hazardous location installation area. The objective of the project was to upgrade the existing electrical components to comply with the hazardous area location (zone 21) Australian Standards.

Mobile Electrics relocated the non-hazardous equipment to an area outside of the hazardous zone, stripping out the non-compliant components of the silo and the surrounded are, then rebuilding and installing new electrical equipment to ensure the installation met the current combustible and conductive dust contamination hazards zone working requirements.
