Critical Hazardous Works a Breeze for Mobile Electrics

Posted on: August 6th, 2015 by Brian Emberson No Comments

Mobile Electrics, 03 9761 8500. We were recently commissioned by one of our existing clients who found it necessary to consolidate their three sites located in Queensland and Lilydale, to a new facility in there existing site located at Colchester Road, Kilsyth. This involved combining the machinery from the two sites into one site at theĀ purpose built factory in Kilsyth. The client is involved in the manufacture of polymers, polymeric compounds and adhesives.

Due to the specific requirement of the materials being manufactured, the site needed to comply with hazardous locations standards (AS/NZS 60079 Part 14 and 17). The factory was classified as a Zone 22 area, whereby the presence of airborne explosive particles could ignite if the machinery wasn’t installed to the appropriate standards. Mobile Electrics installed such items such as Endgress and Hauser T53 explosion proof thermometer and Cerebra PMP51 pressure transmitter. We worked closely with the client to ensure every part of the installation was carried out exactly as per explosion zone installation rules.

At present, the project is nearing completion and the client is extremely happy with the works carried out by Mobile Electrics technicians so far. The consolidation of these three operations to the one site will provide ongoing logistics benefits to the company.
